Romantic Summer Wedding at South Farm Hertfordshire | Hannah & Ryan

What can I tell you about South Farm that hasn’t been mentioned before…….. It really is the perfect romantic wedding venue. You can get married in the Old Dairy, the Tudor Barn or the wonderful Summerhouse in the garden with your guests wiping an emotional tear away from over the lake.  Which will you choose?

Hannah & Ryan chose the Summerhouse for their ceremony on a beautiful May day. Bridal preparations for Hannah and her sisters took place in the Bridal Suite which is perfectly designed for a wedding morning. Ryan completed the final tweaks to his suit in the Drawing Room of the farmhouse. After the heartfelt ceremony, we all mingled in the stunning gardens that surround the farmhouse before I sneaked the new Mr & Mrs off for a few photos around the grounds. It’s the perfect time for family and friends to chat and catch up. Sometimes family members haven’t seen each other for ages and these moments are so precious.

Speeches are the time for emotions, laughs, a few tears and lots of jokes.  Its the part of the day a lot of us look forward to but one or two dread, usually the Groom. It’s a part of the day that I like as I get to hear some great stories about you guys. During the summer months, after the speeches are the best time for us to explore the light and create some magic. I’ve said it before but I love South farm for its amazing choice of areas for photos. The meadow, the bridges, the driveway with all the twinkling lights, not forgetting the totally amazing gypsy caravans that your guests can stay in and even down to the crumbly painted barn doors. Oh, and you just have to see the sofa and lights in the ladies loo!
