Madingley Hall Wedding | Lucy & Jamie
Lucy & Jamie
Madingley Hall Cambridge
Just 4 miles from the city, Madingley Hall Cambridge is a wonderful 16th Century Country House with beautifully landscaped gardens designed by Lancelot Capability Brown. I can see why Lucy and Jamie fell in love with everything and wanted to tell the story of their wedding in these beautiful surroundings.
Ashley from Primp, Powder Pout was busy in The King’s Room doing hair and make up for Lucy, Bridesmaids and the two mums. The morning was very relaxed with plenty of time for giggles, pressies and stories of friendship.
The boys had a whale of the morning and all met at The Cambridge Gin Distillery. Pretty gutted that I missed that bit but it looks they had a lot of fun with guests arriving on a Routemaster bus.
Lucy left Madingley Hall to travel to the Church in Grantchester for the ceremony. You may have heard of Grantchester from the Robson Greene TV show of the same name. It was filmed here and it a great tourist attraction. Not that Grantchester needs putting on the map as it is a beautiful little village with a lot of history.
After the ceremony, it was a short ride back to Madingley for the reception. The newlyweds were piped into the Gardens and greeted by friends and family.
The dining room was decorated beautifully with delectable white flowers and foliage on the tables and a cascade down the staircase. Not forgetting the amazing floral arch at the church. All the floral decorations were created by Wild Frost. The only decorations not supplied by Wild Frost were the individual bottles of homemade Sloe Gin, made from Sloe’s gathered on country walks with Monty, the couple’s dog. What a wonderful idea.
Congratulations guys, what a truly beautiful day. I loved being a part of it xx
