Luton Hoo Walled Garden Wedding | Laura & Jonathan
I’m so excited to be able to share the photographs from Laura & Jonathon’s beautiful June wedding. The reception took place at the wonderfully unique venue of Luton Hoo Walled Garden following a service at All Saints Roman Catholic Church in Kenton.
It’s always lovely to be recommended by previous couples and this time it was the groom’s sister Jessica who had recommended me, in fact I’d already met Laura & Jonathon when I photographed Jessica’s wedding two years ago so it was lovely to see many familiar faces. Since then Jessica has had a baby, the lovely little Phoebe who was the youngest guest (and possibly the cutest).
Laura & Jonathon met while they were both working as physiotherapists for a football club, which explains the football theme of the wedding! Even though they had a football pitch table plan and entered the marquee at Luton Hoo Walled Garden to the Match of the Day theme tune the whole wedding day was elegant and stylish. Full of sparkle, fun and most importantly love.
June can be an unpredictable time of year for the weather but fortunately it turned out to be just perfect, dry and warm but a little overcast which is ideal for photographs.
The day started at 10am at Laura’s parents’ home where Laura, maid of honour Sarah (her sister) and the rest of the bridesmaids, including Laura’s other sisters Sophie & Emma, were getting ready. At the same time my assistant photographer Daniel headed over to the Hilton Garden Inn to meet up with Jonathon and his two best men (Mark & Thomas).
All Saints Church was light, bright and airy, a wedding photographer’s dream! But importantly the service was beautiful and tissues were occasionally required, just as it should be.
Then it was on the reception at Luton Hoo where a beautiful elegant marquee sits within a gorgeous walled garden. It’s a perfect venue for such a stylish wedding and I’m sure you can see from the photos that everyone enjoyed a wonderful party. It’s also a perfect venue from a wedding photographer’s point of view. The gardens are ideal to take the bride and groom away for a little quiet time and some romantic portraits, those old greenhouses make a great rustic backdrop and are such a perfect contrast to the elegance and style of the marquee.
Congratulations Laura & Jonathon, it was a pleasure to share your day with your families and friends xx Please contact me here to chat about your amazing wedding plans.
