Kirstie & Lawrence | The Pavilion Wedding

I really did feel like one of the family when I photographed Kirstie and Lawrence’s wedding in Marlow in the Spring. A couple of years previously, I had photographed Kirstie’s sister Hannah’s wedding at Selwyn College Cambridge.  But now it was Kirstie’s big day.

As a storytelling wedding photographer, I like to start at the beginning of the day with all the excitement and anticipation.  Bridal prep is one of my favourite parts of the day.

All the girls were getting ready at Burnham Beeches Hotel, an 18th Century Manor House on the edge of Slough.  We had loads of time before the cars were due to leave and we explored the hotel and the grounds. Inside the hotel, there is a Laura Ashly Tea Room. It’s just beautiful with a magnificent floor to ceiling window that was crying out to be used.

The boys were safely at the wedding venue The Pavillion at Lane End. My 2nd shooter was with them and by the looks of it, there was a lot of fun and games, mainly instigated by Best Man York.

In the grounds of The Pavillion is a wooden Gazebo which is licensed for Civil Ceremonies. There are wonderful views over the countryside and I just knew we would have a wonderful sunset later in the day.

Robert, Kirstie’s father was beaming with pride as he walked her down the aisle towards her husband.

A day full of fun, smiles and wonderful weather came to an end with a photo booth!  Even I was coerced into having a photo taken!!

Congratulations guys, it really was like being part of the family with you all again. xx
