I love a South Farm Wedding
Olivia & Stuart | South Farm Wedding
I honestly do Love a South Farm wedding. I get just as excited as a Bride as I travel down the tree-lined driveway, turn the corner and see the familiar yellow painted farmhouse and unmistakable Gypsy vans. It really is the perfect wedding venue, particularly if you love piglets and farm animals.
Olivia & Stuart were having an Outdoor ceremony in the stunning summer house overlooking the lake. Stuart had whispered to me that he had a surprise for Liv. She had so desperately wanted a Confetti Pony on the day. The look on her face when the door opened and Mr Jack Brock greeted her was just flipping brilliant. He was a big hit with all the children at the wedding too.
The reception continued in the garden before heading into the Tudor Barn for speeches and the wedding breakfast. We had time to play in The Barnyard with the latest litter of Piglets. I’m not too sure Liv was pleased with one of them taking a liking to her dress though. Even the white Peacock gave us a wonderful display.
This fabulous wedding finished with a sparkler send off and a fun-filled, and a rather energetic Ceilidh. I had the most amazing day, so I know Stuart and Liv did. I honestly didn’t ask for the comment about their photographer either. Reading their words makes me love what I do even more. Thank you x

Who asked who and how
Stuart asked Olivia on a once in a lifetime Holiday in Bali (he saved it right till the end so she didn’t see it coming!). We were staying overnight in a Safari Lodge, was in a beautiful restaurant which overlooked the lions. Stuart managed to get the whole proposal on film and it’s so special to be able to watch it back.
Wedding planning, good, bad and fabulous
Olivia is an event manager so there was a ridiculous amount of organisation, which meant it went smoothly. Although we DIY’d a lot of the decorations and detail which took a surprising amount of time! Best Bit – the creativity and options on the Pinterest boards. Worst Bit – trying to achieve the Pinterest boards.
How was day through your eyes?
Very surreal to be surrounded by all the people we love, in one place at one time. It flew by, but as wonderful as we could have ever imagined.
What was your favourite part of the day
Hers: Reaching Stuart at the end of the aisle (oh and taking my pony for a walk). His: Liv’s reaction to Mr Jack Brock!
Any tips you learnt along the way which may be useful for other brides
Spend time finding the right photographer for you (like we did). You spend so much time with them on the day and at the end of the day, they could be the one buttoning you into your wedding dress and wrangling the Groom’s misbehaving brothers. Finally, spreadsheets galore; from address lists, to do list and a shared (online) area to access them all (Google Docs/DropBox etc.).
