Grantchester | Harriet & Chris
I adore homemade family weddings and Harriet & Chris’ garden marquee wedding in Grantchester was just beautiful. The whole day was brimming with love, such a heart warming day. Even the rain that appeared during the afternoon didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. The dance floor was crazy all night long, just brilliant.
There are some weddings that are perfect from beginning to end, and this Cambridge wedding is one of them. These two were just made for each other and their families and friends love them to bits.
The whole day was happening in the village of Grantchester on the outskirts of Cambridge. Famous for many things, the Poets Byron, the place where Jeffrey Archer lives and more recently the series Grantchester. Harriet’s parents live near the Church, just a short walk for a very proud Father to lead his daughter to. The moring was a buzz of excitement and giggles and the odd emotional tear, particularly when Granny arrived with Harriets first pair of welly boots decorated for the wedding top table. Just adorable!
Chris arrived in style and met with friends at the local pub where my assistant Mark was waitng for them. They all looked wonderful in their blue suits.
I’m not sure Harriet was expecting Simba to have a leading roll in the wedding ceremony but he managed to sneak in there with the help of the Vicar. It’s these little things that make your wedding unique.
I think I lost count of how many tears I wiped away during the speeches, there was so much love in the room and it was wonderful to see. Tears were replaced by smiles and smiles replaced by laughing when the dancing started.
I said this wedding was perfect and it was, I had an amazing day. Thank you guys for sharing it with me.Congratulations xxx
