Bassmead Manor Barns Weddings Through the Year
Bassmead Manor Barns Weddings
Through the Year
An amazing venue will look fabulous whatever the season and the weather. Bassmead Manor Barns is a Wedding Photographers dream and has a multitude of places to go. Which can be a bad thing as you just want to use it all. You know you are arriving at a special wedding venue as you pull off the road and head up the long driveway. The Moat Barn is directly in front of you which houses the all-important Bar where your drinks reception will be held
The Rickety Barn and Bridge Barn will be the other areas that you will use through your wedding day at Bassmead. As stunning as both barns are this is where you get to stamp your personality onto your wedding. The details of your flowers and colour scheme really show the feel of your wedding.
Everyone knows the Bassmead Bridge. It’s iconic and a great area for some of your photographs. Grab the guys and let’s take some photos of you all in your suits. Keeping you all occupied for a while is a wedding photographers way of helping you forget those nerves of excitement that will be kicking in once you are all dressed up.
You and your girls will be hidden away from the Groom up in the Bridal Boudoir. Hair and make-up usually happen in here and the morning is filled with fun, giggles, excitement and often a glass or two of bubbles. Why not? It is your wedding day after all.
With nervous anticipation, your Groom will be waiting in the Rickety Barn for his Bride to arrive. This gorgeous oak-beamed barn with solid wood floor and wrought iron chandeliers is hidden behind the well-known blue stable door. Your guests will wait for those wooden doors to open to see you and your Bridal Party walk in. There is a hayloft with a view along the length of the barn which is the perfect place to hide a 2nd photographer to capture the back of your dress as you glide down the aisle and also your guests reactions.
As a wedding photographer, this is one of my favourite parts of the day. Confetti and lots of it. Let them grab a big handful, hold each other, smile and enjoy it as you are showered with rose petal love.
Head through the Moat Barn and out into the courtyard garden brimming with flowers and greenery. I love using this area for your family photos. It means guests can still mingle and not be far away when they are called to be included in a photo.
Allow some time before you head into the Moat Barn for your wedding breakfast for a few minutes of photographs together. We don’t have to go far but there are some amazing photo opportunities literally just around the corner. Head into the fields in the summer or take a perch on the long .
I love the Bassmead driveway, it is full of leading lines, beautiful landscape and with the final detail of you guys added in it makes me a wedding photographer happy. You can also get the most amazing sunsets just over the field, so keep an eye out for that burning sky.
The bridge is a great spot for photos during the day, whatever the weather. The leaves on the trees change colours with the season but grab a brolly if it’s raining and the trees will shelter you a little. Embrace rain on your wedding day, I won’t let you get wet through but it can make some amazing wedding photos.
Wedding photos don’t have to happen just in the daylight. I have extra lights with me on the day that we can use and get creative. Your wedding venue will look amazing in the day time but can look awesome at night too.
