Bassmead Manor Barns & Jenna & Oliver
Bassmead Manor Barns | Jenna & Oliver
I always hear Bassmead Manor Barns being mentioned when people view Cambridge wedding venues for their wedding, but this was the first time I had been lucky enough to photograph a wedding there myself, and blimey……………. what a venue!
It’s gorgeous. The Rickety Barn is a luscious place to get married and with the endless places around for photographs, well you are really spoilt for choice.
I can see why Jenna & Ollie fell in love with this place and chose it as their perfect wedding venue. It really was a perfect wedding. The weather, tick. The Dress, oh my! The entertainment, Matt Strafford Duo….. fabulous!
The day always starts with giggles in the Bridal rooms, and I ahve to say Bassmead does have a beauitful area for the girls to get ready. A sneak window to peer down over the courtyard to see the Groom arrives helps too. With hair and make-up in full swing, I headed off to meet the boys and snap all the decorations that had been placed around.
Autumn was in the air but the sun was shining brightly, the perfect wedding day weather.
Olly stood waiting at the top of the barn with a few nerves waiting for Jenna to appear in the doorway behind. The big questions was, would he look back? He waited until he could hear her footsteps clsoer and then turned to see his beautiful Bride. It’s then that thr nerves subside and the beaming smiles take over.
Celebrations carried on in the garden with the roses still in full bloom and the perfect shades of pink before we all headed inside for the wedding breakfast and the speeches. A little surprise awaited the newlyweds. Family and friends had secretly got together and filmed a bit of a flash mob type video which was fabulous.
The grounds around this barn wedding venue are awesome, such a variety, which I love. Driveways and fields and even a little wooded area where you can hear the Peacocks trumpeting.
If you are planning a wedding, I’d love to hear all about it. Contact me here for more information about how I can cover your amazing day x
