Harriet & Josh | The Old Hall Wedding
I just knew that this wedding would be fabulous and fun after I met Harriet and Josh for their pre-wedding shoot in Brighton and we had a doughnut throwing session. They told me all about their rustic outdoor ceremony wedding that was taking place at The Old Hall near Ely, with lots of vintage details and styling. Harriet even had her Grandmother’s wedding dress on display.
The fun started right away in the morning while the girls were getting ready with bubbles and bundles on and in the bed. There was a huge bucket of popcorn for nibbles but Harriet had something a bit more substantial, last nights noodles! I’m sure the boys were a little less crazy during the morning for my 2nd photographer Roxy.
The Old Hall has the most amazing outdoor ceremony area, the Pavillion. Guest gathered in their seats to watch Harriet glide down the path in her stunning Mori Lee dress from Shades of White. When I say glide….. there was a glide and a clatter as the skirt of her dress played skittles with the lanterns either side of the pathway.
Just before the wedding, Josh had asked if I would take a Polaroid photo of them both at the top of the stairs, just married. He was going to surprise Harriet with a memory book of photos since they first met. This photo would take pride of place on the last page. He was going to present the book during the speeches. Unbeknown to Josh, Harriet had also made a book and at the end of the Speeches, always wanting to have the last word, she gave her book to Josh. These two could not be more perfect for each other at all.
One thing Harriet had asked for was for a photograph on the vintage bike, supplied by Dolly’s Vintage Tea Party. This we managed to do later in the day after a small rain shower. Barefooted she jumped on the bike with a smile on her face.
I am looking forward to being back at the gorgeous Old Hall very soon.
