Pendley Manor Wedding | Catherine & Gavin
Although I am based in Cambridge, I cover all areas. Being a Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer too, I had never photographed a Pendley Manor Wedding until Catherine and Gavin asked me to cover theirs.
Pendley Manor is near Tring Hertfordshire, and just a short drive from the village church where the wedding ceremony was taking place. Catherine’s parents live opposite the Church so the girls didn’t have far to go once they were ready.
Gavin got ready at Pendley Manor and he and the guests were all treated to a trip from Pendley Manor to Dagnall Church in a fabulous Vintage Route-master Bus.
The rich blue of the boys suits and the Bridesmaids dresses looked fabulous with the Spring flowers of Ranunculus and Daffodils with a hint of Lavender. Apple Blossom Flowers supplied all the flowers and the button holes arrived displayed in the prettiest way I have seen.
Catherine beamed with smiles the whole day through. The ceremony certainly had a few laughs and giggles, which is always great to see. We took a detour from the Church before going to the reception to visit Ashridge Woods. We had visited here for their pre-wedding session and again as the new Mr and Mrs. Ashridge holds a special place in their hearts as it was where Gavin proposed to Catherine.
It may have been early April but boy what a hot day it was. After the wedding breakfast and speeches we headed out into grounds for a spot of Peacock chasing, well photographs really but Peacocks did play a part of it. The interior of Pendley is as wonderful as the outside. There is a majestic staircase which cries out to be photographed.
The afternoon ended with a blindfolds…. a little peculiar maybe but add in the Pinata and it was a lot of fun.
