Stoke Rochford Wedding | Justine & Barney
Stoke Rochford Hall Wedding | Justine & Barney
Stoke Rochford Hall could be the most perfect Country House Hotel Wedding venue for your Civil Ceremony. Situated just off the A1 near Grantham you know you are somewhere special as you drive along the winding country lane and rambling fields of sheep. Driving over a stone humped back bridge you can see the majestic Stoke Rochford through the oak trees on the left.
Justine was getting ready in the Bridal suite which has a high bay window that looks over the ornate driveway gates. Barney was in another part of the hotel with the boys. Actually, when we went to find him, he was swimming. A very relaxed wedding morning.
Having a Civil Ceremony and everything in the one place means there are no problems with traffic holds up and logistics, there’s more time for relaxation and fun.
Fun and smiles were a huge part of Justine & Barney’s wedding day. The sun shining made everyone want to enjoy the garden games in the grounds while sampling the Pimms and canapes.
I can often tell within the first few lines of a speech if someone has googled what they have written. There aren’t many speeches that are unique but when one comes along that is full of love, humour and sincerity then I can get lost in those words. All three speeches were very special and great to photograph – such animated expressions.
To top the day off, there was the most amazing cake, or should I say cakes!
In their own words
Who were your suppliers?
Where you first meet
Well, We first met on an advanced driving course but Barnaby doesn’t remember me then the next meeting was in the college library. We also worked in the same shopping centre at the time.
Who asked who and how
I got down on one knee at the top of the London Shard, it was late afternoon so the sun was setting and there was no one else around so nice and private. It took Justine a while to realise what I was doing as she thought I had a problem with my shoe!
Wedding planning, good, bad and fabulous
We really enjoyed picking out everything for the wedding and slowly watching the pieces all fit together on how our day was going to turn out. It turned out better than I could have imagined. Venue shopping – we only visited a handful of places but fell in love with one and booked it almost straight away.
How was day through your eyes?
AMAZING !!!! Best day of our lives
What was your favourite part of the day
For Justine ‘the whole day, from getting ready with the girls to the last dance .’ For Barnaby ‘the ceremony was the best part for me, it really was magical, to get married in such a wonderful location and with everyone we love around us, we couldn’t ask for any more than that.’
Any tips you learnt along the way which may be useful for other brides
Plan the day you want !! Don’t let other people make you stray away from what you want for your day. Make it personal to you and your partner it’s your story to tell.
