Slepe Hall Hotel St Ives | Lisa & Jason Wedding
Lisa loves owls. Really loves owls. So when they told me that as a surprise there would be an owl delivering the rings i was a little excited. Being a Wedding Photographer i have never had an owl bringing the rings before so that made me nervous too. I only had one chance at getting the shot right and i did it as you can see.
Lisa got ready at mum and dad’s which is very near to where i live. She was enjoying her morning with her sisters and family. Jason got ready at home and i met him and his groomsmen at the church.
There was a lovely orange colour theme to the day. A colour that i hadn’t seen at a wedding before but it really was beautiful. After the ceremony the formal photographs were taken on the Abbey Green. During this time the owl handlers stayed and brought the owl out to meet everyone. They had a couple of owls with them, one rather large one! I have to say i didn’t get too close to that one.
The rest of the wedding celebrations were held at Slepe Hall Hotel, St Ives, where Stuart and his team ran the day perfectly.
The speeches were great with Jason’s bestman and brother breaking out into song. It’s times like this i wish i did video. We headed around the grounds after the meal to get some couple photos. One of my favourites was taken by the old dairy, a lovely wooden wall.
Congratulations Lisa and Jason, you had a beautiful wedding. Lots of love to you both x
