Swanton Morley House Norfolk | Ali & Bex
Sigggghhhhhhhhhh……………… i just don’t know where to start with this wedding. You know the line in Jerry McGuire…. ‘You had me at hello’ Well I feel a bit like that. I fell in love with this wedding from the start.
Starting with Ali & Bex, who I adore. Such a wonderful, gorgeous, caring, full of love couple, who had THE perfect day.
The wedding was held at Swanton Morley House in Norfolk, a fabulous country house set in 10 acres of wonderful gardens and woodland. I arrived and found my way to where the girls were, i think the giggling gave it away. The boys were getting ready down the road at The Dial House. It is times like these were having a second shooter is invaluable. It means that both sides of the preparations can be covered, and i know you guys like to be centre stage sometimes too. So, Mark headed off to be with the boys who enjoyed a Champagne breakfast before playing a game of how many men can we fit into one hotel room.
Girls being girls were a little more organised and had an enjoyable morning of hair and make up pampering. There comes a time during the morning when things get a little frantic, a little crazy and that’s when it’s time for the dress to go on. Having seen quite a few dresses now, i always find it best to puddle the dress on the floor, then step in. If you have an underskirt then we can slip it on afterwards. This was no hair or make up disasters. It’s also fun seeing how many bridesmaids can hold up the skirt of the dress while rearranging the layers.
I haven’t seen a Groom so blown away by his Bride than Ali was. Bex literally took his breath away, and rightly so. She looked just stunning in her Justin Alexander Gown from Shades of White, and lit up the room with her smile.
Just before the wedding breakfast there was a fun game of heads and tails, a great ice breaker to get everyone to know each other and some cheeky questions. All good fun. The speeches after the meal were a mix of emotions, some tears, some smiles, lots of laughs but the one thing the showed all the way through, the great amount of Love there was in the room. Love from both families, love for each other and love from friends who were sharing their day. test
Thank you for letting me be a part of such an amazing day. Congratulations xx
