Cambridge Wedding Photographer | Kimberley & Piotr
Just a few weeks ago the wind blew and it blew and it blew, but we battled through, pinned the veil in and carried on with Kimberley and Piotr’s Cambridgeshire Wedding.
This wedding was a complete mix, with the couple living in Europe and Piotr being Polish, they wanted to incorporate a lot of familiar traditions of both families. The bottles of Vodka on the tables was definitely a Polish tradition.
We braved the wind and headed out in the evening sunshine. The light was just beautiful, we used the Historic Chapel on the Bridge in St Ives and then headed out into the meadow. These were some of my favourite shots of the day.
Congratulations to you guys x
In their own words
Where did you first meet?
At the Ferryboat in Holywell through mutual friends.
Who popped the question and how?
Peter proposed on the beach in South Africa while watching the sunrise
Wedding planning, the good, bad and fabulous
Six months of active wedding planning. All went smoothly except choosing my dress (third time lucky)
How was day through your eyes?
It was perfect but it felt like a second. It was all over too quickly. The wind was a bit annoying.
What was your favourite part of the day
After the first dance when we could finally let our hair down and dance with guests
Any tips you learnt along the way which may be useful for other brides or what would you change?
I wouldn’t obsess over little things and I personally would have preferred to get married earlier so we’d have more dancing time.
Who were your suppliers.
Flowers were Forget me Not in St Ives. Make up by Alison. Table decorations by Ambience. DJ was Steve Monroe. Hair by a’diva and Laura di’iurio. Cake by Tom’s cakes. Dress by Victorias bridal boutique in Orpington, kent.
