The Old Bridge Hotel | Charlotte & Stephen
Stephen and Charlotte adored each other, i could tell that from the first time i met them at my home. I remember Stephen from school. He was a couple of years below me but everyone knew of him as he excelled in sport, particularly swimming. His sports career has been amazing! There was no doubt that their wedding at The Old Bridge Hotel would be love filled.
Their September wedding day arrived and we were treated to glorious sunshine and blue skies even though the weather reports all week has said just the opposite. Lesson learned. Never trust the weathermen! I think i have said that before.
Charlotte chose to get ready at home while Stephen was at his parents. Both in Somersham. The church where they were getting married was in Somersham too, so not far to travel. Unlike one of Stephens groomsmen who had come over from Australia for the wedding.
I’ve photographed a few weddings now and a few guests taking selfies. I’ve never until this wedding photographed and Bride and Groom and Vicar taking a selfie. That was a first.
Their reception was held at The Old Bridge Hotel, Huntingdon and i had been at a wedding here a few weeks before. I do love this venue. There was a theme of bunting and bicycles for Charlotte and Stephen and gorgeous flowers provided by Wild Frost.
The speeches were heartfelt and a tear or two was shed. This was a gorgeous wedding for a gorgeous couple who i know will have wonderful life together x
