I arrived in the rain, but more about that later, Rachel and all the girls were busy getting pampered with hair and make-up by Lauren from Be Fabulous.
Marcus arrived in style. As a surprise an Aston Martin drove him to the hotel. There was no mistaking the unforgettable raw of the engine as they approached the terrace.
I always keep my eye on the weather in the run up to a wedding, so when the forecast kept telling me it was going to rain, i got prepared. I knew there were a few locations at Slepe Hall in St Ives that i could use for my couples photo session, but i wasn't sure what i was going to do for the groups.
Well lady luck shined down on us as we had a break in the day, just long enough for some photos outside. Rachel's dressed was saved from the dampness by a guest with a picnic blanket in her car. Well saved.
The reception and evening reception was held in The Brunel Suite, a wonderful spacious area for all the guests to enjoy the rest of the day.
I managed to keep my eye out for a break in the weather and noticed the start of a sunset. Rachel and Marcus were happy to pop outside to make the most of it. Unlucky for me, I had to get low, which meant lying on the very wet ground. It's always worth it though.
The evening started with a fun round of shots before Matt Strafford sang fabulously their first dance and late into the evening.
Congratulations to you both, thank you for sharing such a fun day with me xx
