9th September 2016 was the day Katie and Amy said I Do at The Haycock Hotel in Wansford. Now that date may not mean anything to you, but it is significant to Amy. She loves the number 9. So they married on the 9th day of the 9th month and if you add up 2016 it makes 9.
Katie was up in the Bridal suite when i arrived, having hair and make up done. Amy was pacing, finding anything she could to do. She was nervous. Kerry arrived to be my second photographer for the day and soon helped to ease her nerves.
A minor disaster ocurred in Katie's room, no one was hurt but i got drenched! Katie's mum decided to try out the jacuzzi bath but had not filled it enough before turning the jets on. She screamed, i went to help and was covered in a deluge of water. What a start to the day.
The room in the Haycock where the ceremony was taking place had been set out very differently to other ceremonies i had photographed there. I really liked it, lots of white and a bit of sparkle. Family and friends filled the room and Amy arrived. She waited for her Bride to walk down the aisle and emotions started to take over. It was a beautiful ceremony.
We all headed out to the gardens for some formal photographs and to let the children run off steam before taking Katie and Amy around the grounds for some time alone and couples photos.
The reception and speeches were held in the Ballroom and emotional they were too.
Thank you for sharing such a special day with me. Congratulations to you both xx
