Every so often as a wedding photographer I get to photograph someone’s special day that is completely different and this was the case with Ashlie and Alan’s intimate vintage style wedding at Ely Registry Office.
Ashlie and Alan had chosen to have a small intimate wedding for close family members ahead of a large family celebration in Ireland. None of the pictures could be shared online because of the second celebration, it was such a unique day that I would normally be rushing to edit and share an image or two but my couples wishes are always respected. I’m so pleased to be able to share them now though!
It was great fun to walk through the city after the wedding for some photographs with so many people offering congratulations and best wishes to Ashlie and Alan. Ely is a beautiful city with some amazing views and we certainly made the most of it for the photographs. We headed to the cathedral and the park for some fun family photographs and some lovely romantic portraits.
Then it was on to The Captain’s Table where the reception was being held, those gorgeous vivid colours of Ashlie’s bouquet had been used to decorate the boat and it looked fantastic. After a few photographs of the boat and everyone arriving I left Ashlie and Alan to enjoy the rest of the family celebration. Although I did have a little panic when the Captain took away the ramp to the boat and I thought they were going to set off with me still onboard!
Thanks Ashlie & Alan for having me as a part of your lovely family celebration, it was a wonderful day xx
